QuakeServers.net Opens Quake 2 Servers

QuakeServers.net has opened three Quake 2 servers. The servers are running Q2PRO with OpenTDM and OpenFFA. Geographical location of the servers is Dusseldorf, Germany and they are connected to the Internet with 100Mbit/s connection. Here are the servers:

The 2011/2012 Quake2 season is upon us!

The European Duel League is in its sign up phase, along with new rules and a new layout. This season will feature 2-3 divisions and prize money in each division, meaning there'll be plenty of fun and reward for players of all levels of skill! Be sure to register quickly because the sign ups are closing on 25th of, 24.00 CET (midnight before Monday). Here's the schedule for 2011/2012 season:

Group phase, part 1: Oct 3 - Dec 22
Christmas break: Dec 23 - Jan 8
Group phase, part 2: Jan 9 - Apr 29
Playoffs: Apr 30 - Jun 3

20 Quake 2 Servers Added

I just found out that PlanetGloom.com and Netdome.biz Quake 2 masters were still online and found 20 new servers on them. Most of the new servers are running Action Quake 2 but there are also some new Gloom, CTF and WoD servers around. Here are some of the new servers:

40+ New Servers

More than 40 Quake 2 servers were added to QuakeServers.net today. Most of the servers are located in United States but there are servers for European, South American and Asian Q2-players. Here are the "highlights" of the new servers:

Quake II Section Opened

QuakeServers.net has opened Quake II section which contains 500+ servers from all over the world. The most popular Quake II server type seems to be OSP Tourney DM which is used in about 120 servers. The second most popular is Action Quake 2 with 90+ servers. Digital Paint Paintball 2 is also popular, there are 47 servers running it currently.
